Brazoria County - Where Texas Began

Lone Star Flag

The Board of Realtors of Brazoria County welcomes you to our part of the Great State of Texas. Brazoria County is rich with Texas history. It was along the banks of the Brazos where the first Anglo settlers under Stephen F. Austin first arrived and settled in Texas. Later, the flames of revolution were first fanned in the now quiet town of Brazoria. Indeed, the first capitol of the Republic of Texas was in Columbia, near present-day West Columbia.

Now, the area boasts a rich economy, supported by the petrochemical industry, shipping, ranching, and farming. Located on Texas' Gulf Coast, the area is replete with recreational opportunities such as swimming, boating, deep sea fishing, water sports, and resort living. The area also has several wildlife preserves and is host to a major bird count each Christmas season. The bustling city of Houston is just an hour away for those who need a reminder of what big city life is like!

Again, welcome. We think you will love it here - just as we do! Contact any of the Board member Realtors© listed below to find your part of Brazoria County to call home.
